It depends on the type of session and if we shot during busy season- but I like to have portraits sent back within two weeks and wedding galleries within two months. I will always communicate if I have different expectations and send sneak peeks!

If you don’t know where to start - Pinterest always helps! Sending me photos that you feel inspired by, you hope to emulate and get excited by helps me make good recommendations. Explaining the elements of the photos you send makes the vision clearer, too.

Then, I send options and my thoughts for a good direction. A mix of neutrals is always a safe bet for clothing, or earth tones like greens, blues, or browns.

I have always felt comfortable with and in front of the camera, but I learned early on that it’s a rare position!

My goal is always to make our session calm and lighthearted. I like to have a conversation with you throughout the session. To get to know you, but also to help alleviate the pressure of a big camera in your face and poses/prompts I’m asking for. I’ve had a motorcycle brought to a session because it made taking and getting the photos back exciting. It’s also great to tell me beforehand interests of your kiddos to help provoke a smile.

I truly believe that everyone should have access to professional photography, and I highly encourage you to understand the value in the investment!
